By the time you read this, I will have returned from a glorious weekend away. No phones, no computers, no laundry, no grocery shopping, no pets, no e-mail inbox, and my to-do list consists of read, swim, laugh with friends. Ahhhh.
There's no y-chromosome here! My blog focuses on issues surrounding women and families. I'll be dealing with current events, personal experiences and an occasional bizarre "what the ..." moment or two.
Head into the heart of race country for an “Indy Pendence Kick off” Celebration from noon to 9:30 p.m. today. There will be live music, a children's play park, an Indy car simulator ride, Indy Car walk-through trailers and memorabilia, a lighted boat parade on Seneca Lake at 8:45 p.m. and spectacular fireworks at 9:30 p.m., all held at Clute Park on Fourth Street (Route 414) in Watkins Glen.
Think of "Scan & Plan Extra" as Scan & Plan Extreme. I'll give you a highlight of some of the events going on in the Twin Tier region but I'll include some of my thoughts and musings on things I come across in my daily wanderings.
